Notes on the new Stadium:
Capacity- 80,795 2001 (1997 - 80,232 - 80,225 was computerized projection before completion )
Material- 240,000 concrete blocks, 700,000 new bricks,
          500 cubic yards of mortar, 25,000 cubic yards
          of cast-in-place concrete, 5 miles of new 
          handrails and guardrails and 8.5 miles of 
	  redwood seating. More than 3,500 sheets of 
	  drawings were used.
Eleven new openings, for a total of 31, were cut into the
old stadium brick exterior to allow fans to connect the
old and new lower concourse areas. All existing rest rooms
were refinished. The lettering at the north and south
canopy as well as the interlocking ND logo at the top of
the press box west face are gold laminate. ND now ranks
44th in seating capacity among 107 Division I-A football
facilities.

Not since the Air Force game on Thanksgiving day, 1973,
has a ticket for a home game been onsale, 142 straight
sellouts. Dating back to 1966 ND has had 178 of 179 games
with 59,075 (80,232 new stadium) people in the stands.
